While I am putting together my ideas about how to change scripts so they are relative to the geographic areas in which they belong, it became apparent to me this morning another point of view regarding the words we choose to use.
I was walking up to the front counter this morning in the hotel I am at in Seattle and the gal at the front desk asked me in a upbeat way, “how are you doing this morning?”
I said smiling and upbeat as well, “Awesome”.
She said apparently somewhat surprised to hear that word from a 52 year old dude, “well that’s a good grown up word”!
I laughed and said, “well I guess I could have used Bitchin or Groovy”.
We both laughed.
Maybe I should have said, “phenomenal, tremendous, swimmingly or incredible”….they have more syllables and I guess would have made me sound smarter.
Maybe I should have said, ‘fine”….that would have made me fit into the norm.
When you choose words to use in selling ESP or anything else in life, Be Yourself, it will make a difference in your life and those lives you touch.
